25 October 2024 (Jornal T) – Jornal T, the publication of the Portuguese Textile and Clothing Association, reported on Tintex Textiles’ participation in the RN21 Integrated Project workshop in Cantanhede, dedicated to the applications of Natural Resin.
Resin in textiles and clothing
Pedro Magalhães, head of innovation, and Carlos Silva, innovation manager, represented the company and led the textile and clothing station. Pedro Magalhães explained that resin can help replace synthetic materials with natural ones and that Tintex works with rosin derivatives to create new yarns, in dyeing and finishing, and in coating and lamination.
Promising results
Among the work carried out, he highlighted the pilot to improve light fastness in natural dyeing, with promising results that the company intends to scale up to industrial level.
