From the forest to the consumer
The feature traces the history of resin in Portugal, explains the production process from extraction to industrial application, and presents the results of the RN21 Integrated Project, from genetic improvement and mechanised tapping to new biopolymers for the food, automotive, footwear and textile sectors.
The Resinae® brand
The article also highlights the Resinae® – Pinaster Natural Resin brand, which identifies products containing maritime pine Natural Resin from sustainably managed forests, along with the percentage of resin incorporated (10%, 40%, 70% or 100%).
