RN21 Integrated Project presented in Figueira

Figueira da Foz, 7 October 2023 (O Figueirense) – O Figueirense highlighted the public presentation of the RN21 Integrated Project on 10 October, at the facilities of United Resins, a Figueira da Foz company specialised in the second processing of Natural Resin.

An opportunity for Portuguese resin

Speaking to the newspaper, Carlos Fonseca, CTO of CoLAB ForestWISE, argues that Portuguese Natural Resin should be given priority over other origins and that RN21 is a unique opportunity to strengthen the value chain, from producers to market, through new technologies, innovation and new products.

An unprecedented consortium

For the first time, the sector comes together in an integrated research and innovation consortium, with 37 entities and an investment of more than 26 million euros. The presentation, attended by the Minister for the Environment and Climate Action, Duarte Cordeiro, takes place at a local company dedicated to the second processing of resin.
