Tresminas, Vila Pouca de Aguiar, 28 July 2025 (Rádio Clube Aguiarense) – Rádio Clube Aguiarense reported on the opening of the Academia do Resineiro (Resin Tapper Academy), at the São Miguel Rural Park in Tresminas, a space dedicated to training, recognition and the sustainable development of resin tapping in Portugal.
Professionalising and valuing the craft
Promoted by Resipinus – Association of Resin Distillers and Operators, the Academy aims to professionalise workers, encourage good environmental practices and recognise the economic and social value of resin from pine and other forest species.
The new space is part of the RN21 Integrated Project, which seeks to revitalise resin tapping and strengthen its economic, social and environmental importance in Portugal.
