Vila Pouca de Aguiar, July 2025 (Agrotec) – Agrotec highlighted the creation of the Academia do Resineiro (Resin Tapper Academy), at the São Miguel de Tresminas Rural Park, in Vila Pouca de Aguiar, as a new chapter for the national resin tapping sector.
Four areas of action
The Resin Tapper Academy aims to establish itself as a centre of excellence for the sector, with four areas of work: technical and ongoing training for resin tappers; knowledge sharing between tapping communities and experts; preserving and promoting the culture and history of the craft; and promoting sustainability and responsible forest management.
