23 May 2023 (Recuperar Portugal) – The Recuperar Portugal mission structure highlighted the resin tapping trials in Oleiros, in the district of Castelo Branco, as an example of the Recovery and Resilience Plan’s investment in the national bioeconomy.

The bioeconomy in the climate transition

The PRR places a strong focus on the climate transition, in which the bioeconomy is an essential part of a more sustainable society. The Oleiros trials are a concrete example of this investment: turning a pine stand into a laboratory to assess the viability of resin tapping.

A consortium of 37 entities

The project is being carried out by the consortium coordinated by CoLAB ForestWISE, with UTAD and Raízes In responsible for the trials in the parish of Isna.
