11 June 2025 (Agroportal) – Agroportal announced the spring issue of PINUSPRESS, the Centro PINUS newsletter, which highlights a new generation of maritime pines with higher resin productivity, developed under the RN21 Integrated Project.
A national improvement programme for resin
The lead article describes the clonal trial established by grafting, which will make it possible to measure genetic gain in resin production, and the stages of a new national genetic improvement programme geared towards resin tapping.
The work is scientifically led by INIAV, with the participation of Centro PINUS, ICNF, ESAC, UTAD and other forest sector bodies.
