26.6 million euros to innovate in the value chain

The Oleiros tests are part of the RN21 Integrated Project – Innovation in the Natural Resin Value Chain to Strengthen the National Bioeconomy which, according to the article, has 26.6 million euros in funding from the Recovery and Resilience Plan. The 37-entity consortium is coordinated by CoLAB ForestWISE.

First results by 2025

The University of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro and Raízes In are responsible for the trials in Isna, where 60 of the planned 200 pines have already been tapped. The project runs until 2025.
