25 June 2026 (Vida Rural) – Vida Rural presented the new industrial applications for Natural Resin developed at CeNTI under the RN21 Integrated Project, based on rosin, one of the components of pine resin.
Packaging that preserves better
In food packaging, CeNTI has developed gas-barrier coatings for biodegradable films, already validated on vacuum-packed meat, and encapsulation systems that combine rosin derivatives with antimicrobial and antioxidant agents to extend food shelf life and reduce waste.
More resistant textiles
In the textile sector, rosin derivatives are being tested in fibres, knits and finishes, with gains in colour fastness, strength, durability and functional performance.
