Salvaterra de Magos, 4 December 2024 (SAPO) – SAPO highlighted the presentation of the results of the resin tapping project carried out in the Escaroupim National Forest, in Salvaterra de Magos, organised by ICNF.

An elite orchard for the future

The results include the submission of an elite maritime pine orchard to the National Catalogue of Basic Materials. In practice, this will make seed of high genetic quality available for new afforestation, with trees better suited to resin production.

The trial, coordinated by INIAV with ICNF, ISA, Centro PINUS and the Faculty of Sciences, is linked to the RN21 Integrated Project.
